Certified Local REALTOR® Designation

 

Purpose

This is a local REALTOR® Designation designed to distinguish Park City Board of REALTOR® members who choose to be recognized for their knowledge base and expertise on topics specific to Summit and Wasatch Counties. This provides the general public the added assurance that their real estate agent of choice has obtained the education and experience necessary to best serve their needs.

This provides the general public the added assurance that their real estate agent of choice has obtained the education and experience necessary to best serve their needs.

Criteria

  1. Agent must be a member in Good Standing of the Park City Board of REALTORS® for a minimum of 3 years.
  2. Minimum of 6 closed transactions in Summit or Wasatch Counties within the last 3 years.
  3. Agent must complete ALL 14 hours of the required classes listed below and 11 elective credits, totaling a minimum of 25 total credits. (Elective options may be selected from the options below.)
  4. The agent will be allowed to apply the previous 3-year class attendance upon application submission.
  5. The agent will submit an application to the PCBR with the necessary documentation.

Complete ALL Required Classes listed below (totaling 13 credits).

  1. Local Informational Websites & Resources (3 credits)
  2. Working with Wasatch Back Property Managers (2 credits)
  3. Financing Resort Real Estate (3 credits)
  4. One Board Approved Forms Update Course
    • Seller’s Property Condition Disclosure
    • Successfully Navigating Multiple Offers
    • Buyer’s Due Diligence Checklist
  5. Protecting Buyers in the Wasatch Back (2 credits)
  6. How to be a Responsible Listing Agent (3 credits)

****The COST of ALL Required classes will be included in your annual Board Dues.

Complete the remaining credits from the options below (minimum of 11).

  1. Real Estate Safety Matters (2 credits)
  2. A More Detailed look at 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges (2 credits)
  3. MLS Training Courses
    • Intro to FLEX and Client Portal (1 credit)
    • Transaction Desk Basics (1 credit)
    • Transaction Desk Advanced (1 credit)
    • Advanced Searches on the FLEX (1 credit)
  4. NAR’S Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (REBAC certification course for 3 credits if taken within the last two years from application submission)
  5. NAR’S 2-Day Green Designation (6 credits)
  6. Those who received their Green Designation prior to the two-year time limit, yet have maintained the designation with NAR, will receive 3 credits.
  7. Three PBCR Luncheons in one year period (3 credits)
  8. Form Update on New Construction REPC (2 credits)
  9. Five Development Tours (1 credit – must supply brochure and development signature)
  10. Heber Creeper (1 credit – must supply ticket stub)
  11. Walking Historic Tour Main St. ( 1 credit – must supply ticket stub)
  12. Active Member of PCBR Committee or Association / MLS Board of Directors with min attendance of 70% for the year (3 credits)
  13. Legislative Speaker Series Community Updates (Summit / Wasatch Counties, Park City Municipal, Park City School District for 1 credit per event)
  14. Community Volunteer Service (1 credit provide verification of service commitment. 3 max)
  15. NAR’s Leadership 100, 200, 300 (2 credits per completed course)
  16. Park City Leadership 101 (3 credits – must supply a certificate of completion)
  17. Park City Leadership Program Graduate (6 credits – must supply a certificate of completion)
  18. Park City Historic Museum and Tour (1 credit – must supply ticket stub)

Maintaining  your Certified Local REALTOR® Designation

To maintain your Certificate, all members are required to submit proof of six hours of CE credit from the “Required Class” list every 2 years to Association by January 30th, yearly. Accreditation will be audited on an annual basis. REALTORS® who currently have the Certified Local REALTOR® Designation will be required to complete the six hours of CE by December 31st each year.
